NHH will present the findings from the Norwegian Innovation Index 2025 and name Norway’s most innovative company, as seen by customers. In light of the results, the event highlights that Norway, like many other countries, is experiencing a rapidly ageing population. This creates both challenges and opportunities across industries. Participants are invited to explore how Norway’s future can be shaped through age-friendly and sustainable innovations.
Program
Welcome and announcement of Norway’s most innovative company
Professor Bram Timmermans, Head of DIG, NHH.
Responsible ageing
A rapidly ageing population creates challenges for healthcare and the economy, but also opportunities to change society and drive business growth. The speakers present responsible ageing as a way to secure sustainable quality of life for all generations, and discuss how private and public organisations can develop products and services that promote responsible ageing.
Speakers: Professor Seidali Kurtmollaiev, Kristiania/NHH; Professor Line Lervik-Olsen, BI/NHH.
From overlooked to sought-after: how to accelerate innovations for the ageing population
Although Europe’s “Silver Economy” is estimated at 5.7 trillion, Norwegian business shows limited interest in targeting this affluent and rapidly growing ageing population. The talk presents three approaches: learn from silver entrepreneurs, involve older consumers/users, and create synergies between change and innovation projects.
Speaker: Professor Inger G. Stensaker, NHH.
Age-friendly and sustainable innovations
Panel discussion led by Professor Kristina Heinonen, Hanken School of Economics/NHH, with Inger G. Stensaker, Seidali Kurtmollaiev, Line Lervik-Olsen, and Siri Langangen, EVP/Group Executive at Gjensidige.
